Vice Provost for Faculty Development

Alison Preston is the inaugural Vice Provost for Faculty Development. As Vice Provost, Dr. Preston oversees strategy and development of initiatives, programs, and resources to support the successful careers and visibility of UT faculty of all ranks. She works together with key stakeholders to create a culture of effective faculty mentorship and leadership development at the university.

Kate Appenzeller

Director for Faculty Development

Kathryn Appenzeller is Director for Faculty Development at the University of Texas at Austin, and an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction. Her research focuses on math education and quantitative reasoning. In her free time, Kate enjoys crafting, yoga, and seeking out great gluten-free meals.  

Claudia Ladzik

Administrative Program Coordinator for Faculty Development

Claudia Ladzik is the Administrative Program Coordinator for Faculty Development at the University of Texas at Austin. She is a midwestern transplant from the suburbs of Chicago. Claudia moved to Austin in June of 2021 and hasn’t looked back since. In her free time, she enjoys visiting various coffee shops across Austin and going thrifting, which includes acquiring more Jello molds to her growing 130+ collection. Claudia is thrilled to support faculty across the 40 Acres!

Eric Williamson
Senior Administrative Associate for Faculty Development

Eric Williamson is the Senior Administrative Associate for Faculty Development at the University of Texas at Austin. He is a Texas native who has spent time in each of Texas’s major cities. He was born in Houston but grew up in San Antonio, spending much of his adult life in Dallas. More recently he has moved to Austin and has lived here for 3 years. In his free time, he enjoys doing any sort of physical activity and likes to learn about nutrition. Eric is thrilled to support faculty across the 40 Acres!
